Something I often heard waiting for the game was "Day is for the humans, and night is for the infected." Now, the first seems to be true, with the rooftops being almost completely clear of zombies during the day with rooftop settlements sprawled throughout (depending on your in-game choices), that transitions to a more dangerous place during the night. Although the changes to the night system were ambitious, in the end it feels like it falls short of the first game.
